Frequently asked questions about honeylocs natural hair care

How does a new client book an appointment?
All new clients must book a virtual consultation before you book your 1st appointment.  Consults are virtual on zoom and can be book on Mondays and Tuesdays only between 9 -10 am.  Consults are approximately 15- 20 minutes. At the end of your consult your 1st appointment will be booked. 

Does the consultation fee get applied to my 1st appointment? 
The $25 pays for the time spent discussing your hair goals, appointment needs, product recommendations and service recommendations.  It is not applied to your appointment.

How do I book, reschedule, or cancel my appointment?
Honeylocs uses Vagaro's booking system.  You can manage your own appointments online anytime day or night. You can reschedule or rebook anytime day or night.  Cancellations are allowed online with a full refund 48 hours prior to the appointment.   

What is Vagaro?
Vagaro is the online appointment scheduler Honeylocs' uses to book all appointments.  To book use and click the "book appointment" button or go to and search Honeylocs Natural Hair Care and book there.

How do I pay for my appointment? 
Vagaro applies a 50% deposit to all appointments by using your card on file. This is an encrypted secured system.  No appointments are accepted without a deposit.  The balance of the appointment is paid at the time of service.  Deposits are refundable when the appointment is cancelled prior to 48 hours of the appointment. 

What is your no show policy? 
No show appointments are charge a $50 fee or the balance of the appointment. Whichever is the lesser amount. Please know we take your time very seriously and your stylist will be there ready for you when you arrive.

How do I purchase Free To Swim natural hair products? 
Free To Swim products are available in salon and online at  instagram, at and Amazon. Free shipping is offered online at for orders over $80.00. 

Where are you located? 
Honeylocs is a free standing store front salon located in Downtown Plano at 1045 15th Place, Suite 151, Plano TX 75093.  

Do you take walk ins? 
We are a by appointment only Salon. 

What are your operation hours and days? 
We take appointments Mon- Sat between 9am - 7pm.

Can I call my stylist directly to discuss my appointment? 
Stylist are busy behind the chair during working hours and can not accept direct calls, give out their personal numbers or take client phone numbers,  however please send us a message on the Contact US page and we will respond to all questions within 24 hours.

How do I let Honeylocs know if I am running late for my appointment?
Clients are given a 15 minute grace period for their appointments. After that we will reach out to you by phone or email to check on your arrival status.  If you are running up to 15 minutes late no need to contact us.  Just come in.  

How do I change or add additional services to my already booked appointment? 
Clients can manage their appointment services on our Vagaro booking system.  If you need to add a service, vagaro will confirm if  the extra time is available to add it to your existing service and give you the option to update your appointment. If additional time is not available,  Vagaro will let you know the additional service can not be booked for the time requested.  You can keep your original appointment or cancel it and rebook for all services on a different date. 

Do you retighten Sisterlocks? 
We love to cut, color and style Sisterlocks however we are not Sisterlock consultants certified to retighten. 

Can I book an appointment with Erika? 
Erika does take appointments however her schedule may vary due to travel. She loves doing hair but is taking time away from the chair to build the Honeylocs Brand and teach and train other salon stylists. 

Do you only service loc'd clients at Honeylocs? 
Honeylocs provides services for all textured hair clients.  We specialize in  curly cuts, traditional cuts & trim, color, free natural hair, kinky twists, silk press and styling services for men, women and children (4 years and over).

Does Honeylocs service 'straight hair locs?"
We do not service straight hair locs at this time.
